Hethpool House B&B

This is an Edwardian Country house at the entrance to the College Valley. The house is half way between Wooler and Kirk Yetholm and ideally situated to explore the Northern Cheviot hills. We have lived here for over 30 years and this is our family home. We do have 3 dogs who are generally reasonably well behaved! We are happy for people to bring their own by arrangement and this year have found people with dogs prefer the cottage as they can have the dogs with them.

Autumn is here and the colours are spectacular although somewhat rain drenched at the moment! We like to think that we offer old fashioned hospitality. A warm welcome and tea with cakes or scones beside a log fire when needed. Good cooking which often uses our own produce and a comfortable bed to fall into. Please read our Trip Advisor reviews - to see what our previous guests think. You can check availability here .

Although we are only 8 miles from Wooler this is still a wilderness area with over 12,000 acres of some of the most beautiful Northumbrian countryside. The estate includes the Cheviot itself along with iron age forts,a neolithic stone circle and the remains of a crashed WW2 flying fortress high amongst the peat hags.
